major thoughts
i really need a hammer
i love waking up to the blue Parisian sky at 11 am on Sunday, even if i didn’t do the groceries yesterday and that means only pasta today (thank god it’s multigrain!)
i also realized that i might be open to the idea of spending more than two years in one place after grad school. i don’t know this morning this seemed like an interesting possibility to explore.

working on my Monday’s presentation on preventive and preemptive use of force in international law. oh Bush Junior, you fucked us all up. Basically he blurred the boundary between sometimes legal preemptive (you have your gun out and about to shoot me) military action and absolutely illegal preventive (i think you might wanna attack me in the future) military action. so the UN charter is basically useless as long as you’re an immoral president of a superpower. i just can’t believe that we really lived through this nightmare.
anyway, my evening snack is peanut butter and strawberry jam to re-energize my brain for one last push to finish the conclusion to say essentially what i said above.
i’ve been good to myself sleeping the entire evening last night and getting out of bed only at noon today. feel recovered by still looking forward to getting into bed in a couple of hours. i think you can only really purely enjoy being a student if you haven’t worked yet. that’s my problem, i feel extremely possessive of my time, still, with this semester almost over, and find it useless trying to organize my time better to be more efficient at writing papers and preparing presentations. yeah, not helping myself i know.

пью чай вкуса красных ягод и цвета штор в моей маленькой квартире из маракешской чашки, слушаю сирены за окном, и пытаюсь не заснуть в пять дня. а ведь сегодня пятница. конец рабочей недели, хотя все еще только начинается. я уже успела сдать тест по квантативным методам, исписать две ручки и засмотреться на рыцаря в фиолетовом свитере, рассказывавшим о военных проектах евросоюза. просто потрясающей фиолетовости был свитер.
